Accessibility statement

Conformance target

We target Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA on the surfaces listed below. Ontario AODA and similar regimes typically cite WCAG 2.0 AA; 2.2 AA is a strict practical superset and is the single level we publish.

This is a self-assessment. We have not published a VPAT/ACR or completed a third-party audit in this phase.

Surfaces in scope

Enforced (ship-blocker for new WCAG 2.2 AA axe regressions): the customer portal, hosted /shop storefront, this marketing website (including pricing and legal pages), and authentication screens (sign-in, sign-up where allowed, invite accept, confirm email).

Best-effort (shared accessible primitives; not a CI ship-blocker yet): KeepInTracks Business and Personal staff apps, Support Admin, and the public status site.

How we test

Automated checks: axe-core against WCAG 2.2 AA tags in component tests and Playwright on consumer pages. Violations fail continuous integration on enforced surfaces.

Manual keyboard and screen-reader pass: skip-to-main links, focus order through auth and marketing happy paths, and dialog focus traps on shared overlays. We use VoiceOver (macOS/iOS) and keyboard-only navigation as the primary manual checks.

Automated tools do not cover every WCAG success criterion. This statement documents the gaps we know about.

Known gaps

Staff applications (Business, Personal, Support Admin, status) are best-effort and may have historical issues that do not block merges.

Tenant-authored content — for example invoice/quote HTML and marketing email bodies — is outside this claim. We sanitize and template those surfaces, but we do not assert AA for arbitrary owner markup.

Some portal copy paths still have hardcoded English strings pending full i18n; French locale coverage on the portal may be incomplete for those strings.

We do not yet publish a formal VPAT or Accessibility Conformance Report for enterprise procurement packages.

If you encounter an accessibility barrier on a KeepInTracks consumer surface, email privacy@keepintracks.com with the page URL, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology you use (if any). We aim to acknowledge within five business days and to prioritize fixes on enforced surfaces.

Technical measures

Shared UI primitives use dialog focus management (Escape, focus trap, restore focus), skip-to-main links on consumer shells, and theme tokens chosen for WCAG AA contrast on default light and dark backgrounds.
